Beginner Fly Tying Classes
Fly Tying, however, is one of the toughest aspects of the sport to learn on your own. There is only so much pictures in a book can do for you once you are at the vise. Join The Riffle Fly Shop Staff for a fantastic class in fly tying and selecting, managing, and using fly tying materials. This is called a beginner class, because a beginner would fit right in, but we can assure you intermediate tyers out there, that there is plenty to learn in this course as well. Classes will be held each Monday evening at The Riffle Fly Shop in Bend, Oregon. The course will consist of two hour sessions from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. During the class, students will learn dry fly techniques, nymph patterns, streamer patterns and more. Each course consists of the five sessions. Sign up is mandatory as space is limited. A four person minimum is required to get things started. Students are required to have a vise and basic tools, materials will be selected each class and a 15% discount will be awarded to each student for material purchases.
